Accessibility
This site is built with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the target. Below is what has actually been measured, and what has not. If something does not work for you, we would rather hear about it than not.
What was done
- Contrast is measured, not estimated. Every run of text on every page and post is sampled against the pixels actually behind it, at 390, 834 and 1440 pixels wide. Text meets at least 4.5:1, and large text at least 3:1.
- The site works from the keyboard. Focus is visible wherever it lands, a skip link goes straight to the main content, and the mobile menu can be opened and closed without a mouse.
- Motion respects your settings. With reduced motion enabled, the homepage shows a single image instead of a rotating one, and transitions snap rather than animate.
- Tap targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels, and form fields use a text size that does not force a zoom on iOS.
- Images carry alt text describing the work and the materials.
- Headings run in order, one H1 per page, with no levels skipped.
- The site is usable down to 360 pixels wide and does not scroll sideways.
Known limits
The site relies on WordPress and the Kadence theme for parts of its markup, and we do not control every element those produce.
No screen-reader testing has been done. Keyboard operation, focus order, focus visibility and the underlying markup have been checked, and the estimate form is standard HTML with labeled fields — but nothing on this site has been listened to with VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS. What a screen reader actually announces here is unverified.
